Watch full interview

In today’s workforce, most organizations have come to recognize the value and importance of fostering inclusion and a genuine sense of belonging within the workplace. However, there persists a formidable challenge in effectively and completely instating Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) initiatives. While it's praiseworthy that some programs and business strategies have achieved some measure of success, a broader opportunity exists to cultivate a more cohesive and comprehensive approach that spans the entire organization. This approach is essential to realize anticipated outcomes, continue to foster and build stakeholder trust and uphold a robust sense of accountability.

Achieving this ambitious goal, demands an investment of time, collaborative efforts, and an honest assessment of the organization's commitment level. Undoubtedly, the achievement of EDI objectives hinges on the level of priority the organization assigns to this endeavor. Nonetheless, awards play a vital role in supporting efforts to gauge progress, uniting teams around a shared goal, and simplifying the communication of specific needs to leadership stakeholders.

It's undeniable that genuine inclusion occurs through organizational transformation, encompassing key systems and fostering alignment in thinking toward a shared mission and values. Moreover, a collective organizational focus on an inclusive objective enables teams to converge around a central idea that represents the ideal for the entire organization.

In this session, we will tap into Floss’ experience which spans over two decades collaborating with global organizations across diverse industries and key leaders to see the success of strategic initiatives. Throughout this episode, it will become clear that despite surface-level differences, there are at least 5 key areas essential to effectively supporting the success of the organizational EDI journey and any target outcomes established to foster traction on the EDI growth continuum.
